Pulse of Madness

Pulse of Madness is an unfinished Turn Based RPG.  However, I didn't feel right leaving it sit on my computer, so I decided to upload it.  

How to download: 

• Download and then extract the .rar file. Run the "MadnessPulse.exe" inside the "Windows" folder after extraction.

How to play: 

• First of all, sorry, but the game isn't very well polished in the user experience sense. So it might be frustrating at times to understand whats happening. Everything from a technical standpoint should be working correctly. 
• Pick Your Abilities:
  • Make sure to pick your abilities in the ability select screen. And make sure you pick them for each character, cycling through them with Q and E. All the other info should be at the bottom left of the screen. 
  • Buff and Debuffs are very important in this game, so make sure to pick a few. 
• Playing The Game 
  • Once you've selected a level, you'll be fighting an opponent. Pressing T will bring up a screen showing you additional information about the state of each character. 
  • Buff and debuffs are very important make sure to utilize them. 
  • Status Triggers: There the unique selling point of this game, they allow you to use an ability multiple times. How many times an ability will go off is based on how high your status buff is for that particular element.
  • Reduce your opponent's health to zero to win.
  

The reason the game is unfinished and canceled is that I simply didn't feel like I was growing as a programmer anymore. I was using the tools provided for me by Unreal, which while are great, isn't going to help me become a better programmer. 

I have already started creating my own graphics engine in C with the Vulkan Graphics API. So if you see the game again in a few years, that's why.
